Doggies

Well I know it's been a long time since I have gone through a pre season. Even when I attended Santa Clara, I only attended one pre season training since I usually was training with the youth or full National team.

I know the question on everyone's brain is what Coach Albertin will be running us through during preseason? Will he focus on testing, both fitness and strength? Should we expect to get on the line and do our doggies and shuttles? Or will he want to focus on us playing together, getting touches and watching/evaluating. Well I think I know which one I am hoping for.

Well now four years later, I will be going through my first pre season playing professional soccer for the FC Gold Pride.

I am very excited for all of my teammates to arrive this week. The international players (Sinclaire, Erika, Formiga, Arakawa) will all be flying to the Bay Area tomorrow and Friday. The other girls who have been drafter around the United States will also be moving up here. There will be different types of housing situations depending on requests and salaries. Some girls will be living with house families while others will be sharing apartments with each other. We will be practicing at De Anza College in Cupertino for the first two weeks in preseason and afterwards will find a new practice site for the remainder of the year. We will have our first home game April 5th at Buck Shaw Stadium (Santa Clara University). We will take on the Boston Breakers with Kristine Lilly, Amy Rodriguez, Kelly Smith, Heather Mitts and Angela Hucles.
